Recovery Programs
Sophie delivers specialist music programs nationwide for survivors of brain injury, collaborating weekly with leading charities such as Headway and the Stroke Association. Her master’s degree research focused on the neurological and emotional benefits of singing for people with brain injury, conducted within an ABI unit. In 2023, she launched her not-for-profit CIC, ‘Take a Deep Breath’ (www.takeadeepbreath.org.uk), and secured £35,000 in funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and Sports England. This enabled a two-year project offering weekly group singing sessions and a unique “walking and singing for health” programme – supporting brain injury survivors to reconnect, recover, and thrive.
